Peter
Cuddy

Lambton Kent Middlesex

My name is Peter Cuddy and I’m running for the federal Conservative Nomination in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. I believe that now more than ever before that we need strong leadership for our area especially in agriculture.

I remember as a 12 year old being on the feed wagon, filling turkey feeders while one of my brothers drove the tractor.  The eggs laid in the nests were taken to be cleaned, incubated and hatched into turkey poults.  At first for sale to farmers in Adelaide township, Glencoe, Camlachie and all points west. Later the deliveries were expanded worldwide, to over 40 countries, all from the same hatchery located here in the heart of Lambton Kent Middlesex.

It would be my privilege to serve in the footsteps of the Honourable Bev Shipley, a great parliamentarian, a humble servant of the constituents of this riding, a close friend of AM Cuddy’s and a friend of mine.

Agriculture is in my blood and I won’t deny that I am worried about Trudeau and what he is doing on trade and how it might affect agriculture.

I am concerned about Trudeau’s negative attitude towards those who maintain traditional values.  If you are pro-life you shouldn’t be singled out and discriminated against.  This is counter to our values. You can count on me to stand up for traditional values.

I am concerned that our borders are broken and that Trudeau is doing nothing to stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming into Canada. This is unfair to those who obeyed the rules and immigrated the right way.  It is also an unnecessary drain on our limited resources. Canada has long been a nation of laws and I think it should remain that way.

The constituents of this Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, stretching from Denfield to Wallaceburg, have had a unique perspective on the world and hold the type of values that have made Canada a land of peace and prosperity. In the coming weeks and days I hope I can count on your support as the nomination process unfolds.  The Cuddy name is a name we all know. As the son of a farmer, who learned about livestock through 4-H, attended SDCI, and worked to launch my own businesses; I’m ready to be your voice.
